Director of Revenue Management

Main tasks

  • Demonstrates knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes;
  • Develops and/or uses analytical tools and systems to maximize revenues and profit;
  • Position is accountable for preparing forecasts, budgets, and projections;
  • Position contributes to sales strategy, evaluates effectiveness, and prepares historical and future analysis of revenue and profit opportunities;
  • Verifies that all rates, packages, and hotel sales strategy information are built into the hotel inventory systems for managed properties;
  • Provides strategic and project execution leadership;
  • Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates initiatives and programs;
  • Develops change management strategies to implement project recommendations and affect change
  • Provides revenue management functional expertise and leadership to Head Office directors, general managers, property leadership Sales, Marketing & Revenue teams;
  • Develops the Business Outlook Strategy;
  • Updates market knowledge and aligns strategies and approaches accordingly;
  • Analyzes competitive sets, price positioning, seasonality, mix, and displacement on a continuous basis;
  • Conducts sales strategy analysis and refines as appropriate to increase market share for all properties;
  • Takes a predetermined strategy and drives the execution of that strategy;
  • Manages the annual pricing process; revenue, profit, and demand data associated with rooms and function space;
  • Works closely with Sales and Marketing for business opportunities, and aims to increase the profitability of the organization;
  • Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, and presentations;
  • Provides input for forecasts of revenue, profit, demand, and occupancy for rooms and function space for 3-month and 6-month, long-range and budget;
  • Reviews vendor proposals and selects appropriate vendors for services/technologies/hardware;
  • Develops collaborative relationships with fellow employees and business partners; Influences and leverages corporate and discipline leaders (e.g., HR, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Revenue Management) to achieve objectives;
  • Oversees the management of room authorizations, rates, and restrictions;
  • Maintains accurate reservations system information;
  • Provides critical input for the development of property sales strategy;
  • Other tasks as assigned by Chief Operating Officer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Hotel or Hospitality Management or closely related field and relevant professional qualifications;
  • At least 05 years experience in the Revenue Management field as manager or senior analyst;
  • Show knowledge of brand reservations and revenue management systems;
  • In-depth knowledge of all industry reports such as STR, SiteMinder, etc.;
  • Excellent command of English;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially with Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Ability to work quickly in a high-pressure environment;
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing as the candidate will interact remotely with hotels, interact frequently with corporate brand representation and will be able to effectively communicate ideas in verbal and written presentations;
  • Excellent time-management skills;
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions;
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary;
  • Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
