Director Of Sales

Main tasks

  • Lead and manage all day-to-day activities related to the sales function with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable the achievement of property sales objectives;
  • Support developing & executing sales strategies;
  • Analyze & report on sales and financial data;
  • Ensure exceptional customer service;
  • Plan, develop, implement and evaluate initiatives and programs;
  • Generate talent and organizational capability.
  • Work with the management team to create and implement a sales plan addressing revenue, customers and the market;
  • Monitor all day-to-day activities of direct reports;
  • Participate in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business;
  • Update market knowledge and aligns strategies and approaches accordingly;
  • Provide positive and aggressive leadership to ensure maximum revenue potential;
  • Analyze market information by using sales systems and implement strategy to achieve the property’s financial room and catering goals;
  • Gain an understanding of the property’s primary target customer and service expectations; serve the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solutions;
  • Manage all sales administrative functions such as annual pricing process, goal setting & tracking, month-end reporting and knowledge of contractual agreements and legal implications;
  • Work collaboratively with off-property sales channels (e.g Head Office Business Development & Marketing) to ensure the property needs are being achieved;
  • Attend customer events and trade shows to maintain, build or develop key relationships with Head Office Business Development and customers.

Requirements

  • At least 2-year experience in the same position or senior manager;
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Hotel or Hospitality Management or a closely related field;
  • Demonstrable knowledge of markets preferred;
  • Excellent command of English;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially with Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Ability to work quickly in a high-pressure environment;
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing as the candidate will interact remotely with the hotel;
  • Excellent time management skills;
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions;
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary;
  • Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
